Box 2526 Vail, CO 81658 Re: Parliament Remodel Building Permit 804-0243 DearMr. Ewing As the plans examiner I have deterrnined that there are indeed property lines between each of the parcels A, B, and C, as each is recorded. A is all of A and B is all of B, and C is every thing that is not A or B. Therefore where ever C abuts A and B a property line exists. It should be pointed out that this is an existing non-conforming use, and as such if no work is done to the stair tower is can continue as is. If however it is changed, altered, or modified it is required to comply with the latest adopted Town of Vail code, 2003 International Residential Code. The walls are required to be of one hour construction, projections shall not extend closer than 2 feet from the line used to deterrnine the fire separation distance. It appears the roofprojections are greater than 2 feeJ. The elevations noted as left and right are not allowed to have any openings. I have enclosed the 2003 IRp Commentary for the code section h queJu'On. Regrettably until the plans reflect code iompliance, approval cannot be granted. All mmmercial (large or small) and all multi-family permib will have to follow the above mentioned maximum requirements. Residential and small pCIecb should take a lesser amount of time. Please read and check off each of the items below: The Tordn of Vail Building Depaftment has developed the following procedures to erisure that new construction sites have adequately established proper drainage from building sites along and adjacent to Town of Vail roads or streets.
