BUILDING PERMIT ISSUANCE TIME FRAME
If this permit requires a Town of Vail Fire Depaftment Approval, Engineer's (Public Works)
review and approval, a Planning Department review or Health Department review, and a review
by the Building Depaftment tfie estimated time for a total review will take as long as three (3)
weel€.
All commercial (large or small) and all multi-family permits will have to follow the above
mentioned maximum requirenDents. Residential and small projects should take a lesser amount
of time. However, if residential or smaller projects impact the various above mentioned
depaftments with regard to necessary review, these projects may also take three (3) weeks to
review and approve.
Every attempt will be made by this depaftment to expedite this permit as soon as possible.

that if the permit is not picked up by the expiration date, that I must still pay the plan check fee

DMINAGE AND CULVERT INSPECTIONS ARE REOUIRED BY PUBLIC WORKS!

o The Town of Vail Building Department has developed the following procedures to
ensure that new construction sites have adequately established proper drainage
from building sites along and adjacent to Town of Vail roads or streets.
o The Town of Vail Public Works Depaftment will be required to inspect and approve
drainage adjacent to Town of Vail roads or streets and the installation of temporary
or permanent culverb at access points from the road or street onto the construction
site. Such approval must be obtained prior to any requests for inspection by the
Town of Vail Building Depaftment for footings, temporary electrical or any other
inspection. Please call Leonard Sandoval at479-2198 to request an inspection from
the Public WorK Department. Allow a minimum of 24 hour notice.
o Also, the Town of Vail Public Works Department will be approving all final drainage
and culvert installation with resulting road patching as necessary. Such approval
must be obtained prior to any Final Certificate of Occupancv issuance.

Unlawful deposits: Subject subsection C thereof, it is unlawful for any person to litter, track or
deposit, or cause to be I , tracked or deposited, sand, gravel, rocks, mud, dirt, snow, ice, or any
other debris or material upon street, sidewalk, alley or public place, or any portion thereof.
