asbestos testing:
On+ and Twofarnily Dwellings: 30 square feet
All Others: 160 square feet
Asbestos testing resuhs must be provided with your application for a building permit.
Tests which identify POSITIVE results at more than 1% require abatement by a State-certified
and Vail-registered abatement contrador. An asbestos abatement permit must be approved,
and the clearance letter must be submitted to the Torvn of Vail before the building permit will be
issued.

bulk samples were collected ftom thi:

suspected asbestos containing marerials trat might be present in the
Residence that is planned for demolition.
The inspectionwas made, and tbe sarrple.s were colected by John RPeterman' an AJI.E.R.A and state of colorado certified eruto"Inspector. Grcat care_wr t"q d*ing the inspection and sampling to be as
aocurate as possible. It shotrld be noted mat ninimal rramage was done tothe existing building st.rctures d'ring the inspection so thei is no
documentation for unseen coditions or stored items.
All samples were analyzed by DCM Science I ah in Wheatidge, CO-This laboratory is deemed'?rroficienf in the E.p.AeualityAss'rance (eA)program forthe determination of asbe.stos in bulk marcrials, and isacuedited by the Anerican Hygiene Association (AHA).
A random sarnpting scheme was uired to sarnpre the suspectmateriars thatwere discovered. If during any future demolition or renovation wortq

BT]ILDING DESCRiPTION:
The hndMark consists of two rnulti-sory buildings with a connecting
undergound parking garage. The Tower Buildingis the eastbuilding with
seyen stories, and a garage level. The Town House building has single level
rmits on the firstfloor, and loft units on the tip levels. tnislurvey covers
the inside of the buildings. The interior walls are overed in sheetrock with
a light texture, and wood paneling. Notc: rn some soas a te*ure has been
tiawelcd over the ofigit olfueila rhe ceilings are sheehock with a heavy
spf,ay-on texh[e' and twin tee concrete with the same spray-oD texfirrc. The
bas€,ment arcahas suspended ceiling tiles throughout, and most have been*pry"d not long ago. The older tiles were tested in fre Billy's Grill area.
The floors are covered with carpet, oeramic tiles, and sheet vinyl flooring.
