RE: Employee Housing Exchange Program - Mertens
Dear Nina:
As you are aware from our coordination with you, the owners of the Mertens Residence,
Jill and Dave Mertens, located at 5114 Grouse Lane / Lot 6, BLock 1, Gore Creek
Subdivision are proposing to exchange their deed restricted employee housing unit. We
request that the following exchange be approved as it is in compliance with the Housing
Exchange Program.
Mertens EHU Exchange:
•Property is located at 5114 Grouse Lane / Lot 6, Block 1, Gore Creek
Subdivision;
•EHU of 1,302 sq. ft. deed restricted in 2000. This square footage is verified in
the attached analysis from Peak Surveying;
•Requires 2,604 sq. ft. of GRFA (2 times multiplier) to qualify as an exchange as
both the existing EHU and exchange unit are outside of the core area; and
•The home, with removal of the EHU, will remain in compliance with the Townʼs
Zoning Regulations including GRFA, site coverage, landscaping, and parking.
The Mertens have coordinated with Peter Knobel and will be using a qualifying dwelling
unit owned and to be deed restricted by him to fulfill their requirement of 2,604 sq. ft.
