Box 2395 Edwards, CO g1632 RE: 486 Forest Road; Plumbing and Heating Information Town of Vail Permit Process Dear Michael: PHONE: (970) 949 -0200 FAX: (970) 949 -0300 We have completed the following plumbing and heating documents for the Town of Vail permit process: PLUMBING • Sanitary sewer piping schematic for added master bath and powder room • Domestic hot and cold piping schematic for added master bath and powder room • Natural gas piping schematic which addresses piping to fireplaces HEATING • Heat loss calculations • Radiant Floor Heat Schedule for the three zones for the addition • Review existing house boiler for proper sizing This project involves the interior remodel and addition of the residence at 486 Forest Road. The existing house boiler is a 476,000 Btuh input Buderus boiler that provides house heat, domestic hot water production, and a portion of the project snow melt area. My calculations show that this boiler is adequately sized for the remodeled home. The two 100 gallon Triangle Tube indirect fired domestic hot water tanks will remain. At this time, the owners are electing to maintain the existing snow melt boilers and add the melted area to this boiler plant. I have based my heat loss calculations on architectural documents, envelope R values, 70 degree F interior temperature (50 degree for the garage) and -20 degree F exterior temperature.
