08/30/2005 McGee Action: DN 1. Light fixtures appear to obstruct
sprinkler heads.
No depth of light fixture is shown.
2. Plans show a sloped ceiling but not the degree or sier and run.
3. Notes on the plans indicating the intent to "re -use" sprinkler heads is in
violation of
NFPA 13, 2002, 6.2.1.
4. Despite General note 6, the work must be hydro tested. There are well more
than 20 heads
on the system. NFPA 10.10.2.2
5. The compression strength of the concrete tees is not specified, therefore, the
Hilti
anchors cannot be specified.
6. The Scope of Work indicates the use of quick response sprinklers "if
required." The
Marriott Hotel is a residential occupancy and quick response heads are required.
7. General Note 3 references the incorrect edition of the Building Code. Vail has
adopted the
2003 edition of the IBC.
8. No pipe is shown on the plans.
