Design Review approval. Applicable Vail Town Code sections can be reviewed on-line at www.vailgov.com under Vail
Information—Town Code On-line (Title 11 Signs). An application for Design Review cannot be accepted until all re-
quired information is received by the Community Development Department. Design Review approval lapses unless sign
is installed within one year of the approval.

Dr. Resnik,
I have take a look at your proposed sign and the Sign Code. Pursuant to the Sign Code a Business Identification sign in
Sign District 2 for a business not located on the first floor is limited to a maximum of 4 square feet. The sign you have
submitted is 6.66 square feet. Therefore, there is a need to reduce the size of your proposed sign. Pursuant to our
conversation it appeared you chose the location of the proposed sign to take advantage of the existing lighting. While I
understand this goal I do not believe your sign will look appropriate located directly below the existing sign. I would like
you to propose a location to the left or right of the existing dental sign. It should be spaced so as to aesthetically work wit
the building (I would suggest center under one of the windows to the left or right of the dental sign).

My goal is to administratively approve the sign. Please get me a revised sign size and location at your earliest
convenience. Let me know if I can answer any questions.
