WRITTEN APPROVAL LETTER
The applicant must submit written joint property owner approval for applications affecting shared ownership properties
such as duplex, condominium, and multi- tenant buildings. This form, or similar written correspondence, must be com-
pleted by the adjoining duplex unit owner or the authorized agent of the home owner's association in the case of a con-

Vail's Legendary Breakfast Spot
To Whom it may Concern,
This is a formal request to allow a variance on the town code for our window sign proposal. As it stands
the proposed window signs will exceed the town code by only 2.25 inches in height or just 2.5% of the
total window area covering 17.5% of the window.
The actual purpose of these window "signs" is to block the sun from entering the restaurant through the
top portion of the front windows so that the refracted light doesn't blind everyone inside. If the signs are
limited only to the size allowed by the code the sun will still be blinding as it will still make it under the
bottom edge of the vinyl to reflect off the bar.
We believe that this is a special circumstance that will substantially reduce the effectiveness of these
professionally designed/ manufactured, and installed window tint -signs and that they will enhance the
overall look of the front of our business. The alternative is to install bulky shades that will make the
inside of our already small business seem even more cramped or to put that cheap looking "do it yourself"
vinyl window tinting from home depot that won't block the light as effectively.
