VAIL VILLAGE WATER FEATURES Just in time for the crowds expected with the Teva Mountain Games, the water features on Wall Street will be operational next week. The Children's Fountain and the feature at Slifer Plaza are already running. For information on Seibert Circle, see update below. The design team is scheduled to arrive the week of June 9 to calibrate and program the fountain, which is anticipated to take two weeks. Contact Todd Oppenheimer at (970) 390-4678 or (970) 479-2161. Vail Transportation Center Reroof A reroof of the bus terminal at the Vail Transportation Center is underway. Impacts to the parking structure are expected to be minimal and the contractor is required to maintain access to all buildings at all times. Contact John Gallegos at (970) 479-2170. Vail Road and Vail Valley Drive Overlays Work is anticipated to begin by the end of this week or early next week around Mayor's Park, at the intersection of East Meadow Drive and Vail Road, to prep for an upcoming overlay of Vail Road. Following Mayor's Park, curb and gutter repairs will occur near the Chapel Bridge and on Vail Valley Drive south of East Meadow Drive prior to overlay work, scheduled to occur on Vail Road and Vail Valley Drive beginning June 17, weather permitting. Call Chad Salli at (970) 479- 2169. Eaqle River Water& Sanitation District Work The District is completing a utility crossing of Vail Road. Following the crossing, water and sewer line work on Beaver Dam Road will begin and is anticipated to be underway from late May through October. Access to all residences will be maintained; however, it will change from east to west as work progresses. Pedestrians are asked to avoid Beaver Dam Road. Work on Willow Road is nearing completion, with landscaping restoration and patching underway. 1 Also, work is underway on the abandonment of an old water line in Vail Valley Drive. Contact Jeff Haselhorst, Hyder Construction at (303) 829-5741. Solaris Village Center Chute inlet work is underway. The ramp access off of East Meadow Drive will close soon. Pre-cast work is continuing, with deliveries occurring off of the South Frontage Road. Contact The Weitz Company, Rob Robinson at (970) 668-4700 or (970) 406-0968. FourSeasons Two large concrete pours will occur this week between now and Saturday, watch for a possible lane closure on West Meadow Drive. The project is pouring the fourth floor and shoring the fifth. The Vail Road sidewalk near the Main Vail roundabout will be back to a hard suface (either pavers or temporary asphalt) by June 27. Mountain View The crane currently used for setting pre-cast is scheduled to demobilize in the early morning hours on June 5. Then, a hydro-crane will be brought in to finish pre-cast, which is anticipated to be complete by mid-June. On June 16, work to complete the boulder wall above the streamwalk will resume. Announcements • Katsos Ranch recreation path drainage work is complete. Clean up and prep is underway, with paving scheduled for May 31, weather permitting. Users should anticipate periodic delays or closures. Core Site • Work continues from man lifts on the plaza finishing downspouts and punch list items. • Grading continues in the skier yard and asphalt on the bike path is anticipated Friday. • Stone seating around ice rink is installed and fire place is complete.
