TEVA MOUNTAIN GAMES
The Teva Mountain Games have returned to Vail through June 8 with events scheduled
throughout Vail Village and Golden Peak. Construction deliveries and other activities in Vail's

NIGHTTIME I-70 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
During the week of June 8, electricians will be boring under I-70 near the East Vail exit and
periodic lane closures of the Frontage Road could occur as a result. Repairs at the chain down
station near East Vail are continuing. Also, work to remove the median barriers near powd
Junction is underway. This work is some of the noisiest that will occur as part of the project;
crews are working to get this done as quickly as possible before warmer, "open window"

POWER OUTAGE SCHEDULED FOR SMALL SECTION OF INTERMOUNTAIN
Holy Cross Energy is joining the Town of Vail, Eagle County and U.S. Forest Service in the
removal of hazardous trees as part of the Vail Valley Forest Health project. Beginning at 8 a.m.
next Tuesday (6-10), crews will be removing dead trees from the utility right of way on
Snowberry Drive in Vail's Intermountain neighborhood. Residents are being notified of the
potential for service interruptions, which will last approximately four hours.

Public Project Updates
Seibert Circle
Stone is being grouted in the fountain basin and electrical work is continuing. The design team
is scheduled to arrive June 13 to calibrate and program the fountain, which is anticipated to take

Vail Transportation Center Reroof
A reroof of the bus terminal at the Vail Transportation Center is underway. Impacts to the
parking structure are expected to be minimal and the contractor is required to maintain access
to all buildings at all times. Contact John Gallegos at (970) 479-2170.
Vail Road and Vail Valley Drive Overlays
Curb and gutter work is occurring on Vail Road and Vail Valley Drive in preparation for overlays
of both roads scheduled for June 17-18, weather permitting. Call Chad Salli at (970) 479-2169.
Eaqle River Water& Sanitation District Work
Water and sewer line work on Beaver Dam Road is underway and is anticipated to continue
through October. Access to all residences will be maintained; however, it will change from east
to west as work progresses. Pedestrians are asked to avoid Beaver Dam Road.

Work on Willow Road is nearing completion, with landscaping restoration and patching
underway.
Also, work is underway on the abandonment of an old water line in Vail Valley Drive. Motorists

Private Project Updates
Front Door
The first tower crane is down; the second is scheduled for removal the week of July 7. The
plaza area is nearing completion. Work continues on the chalets with the first group scheduled

Solaris
Pre-cast work is continuing, with deliveries occurring off of the South Frontage Road. Contact

FourSeasons
The Vail Road sidewalk near the Main Vail roundabout will be back to a hard surface (either
pavers or temporary asphalt) by June 27. Contact Layton Construction, Mark Reed at (970)

Manor Vail
Crews are finishing up exteriors and site work is underway. Contact GE Johnson Construction,

Mountain View
The hydro-crane will be demobilized June 10-12, watch for a lane shift on South Frontage Road.
On June 16, work to complete the boulder wall above the streamwalk will resume. Flaggers will

The Willows

Rucksack
The majority of the demolition is anticipated to be complete this week. Next week, foundation

Announcements
• Katsos Ranch recreation path paving is complete. Next week, shouldering work, top soil
placement and installation of picnic table pads will occur. Wetland restoration work will
take place after the height of the spring run-off. The path is open; users should anticipate
equipment on the path and possible delays. Contact Gregg Barrie with the TOV at (970)

• Work on the Ford Park raw water project to convert irrigation systems from domestic
water to untreated water is essentially complete, with landscaping and clean-up work

Streetscape
• Final asphalt was laid on the north side of the Arrabelle.
• Snowmelt, sand and pavers are currently being installed in front of the Landmark.
• Steps are being formed in front of the General Store.
• Lifts are working on all sides of the building exterior (stonework, stucco, etc.)
• Pavers continue to be installed south of Haagen Dazs.
• Asphalt bike path in place through ski yard and at the connection to Lionshead Place.
Core Site
• Work in plaza continues from lifts on downspouts, stucco and stonework.
• Grading continues in the skier yard.
• Additional fire feature is installed at the top of the north stairs.
• Waterfall wall and plaza fountain are anticipated in the next month.
• Work around escalators and spa entrance is wrapping up with clean up and the
installation of the chandeliers remaining.
Ritz-Carlton
Excavation and shoring is continuing and is expected to be complete by the end of the month.
