MANAGED PARKING RETURNS TO FORD PARK
Beginning June 17, a parking attendant will be at Ford Park at 7 a.m. on approximately 40 "peak
days" and will request that vehicles looking for all-day parking not related to Ford Park activities
use the Vail Village or LionsHead parking structure. This to allow close-in parking for events
such as the Hot Summer Nights concert series, Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, Vail
International Dance Festival and the Vail Lacrosse Tournament. Vehicles will be charged $5 for

COLORADO STAGE BIKE RACE
The Colorado Stage bike race is scheduled to be in Vail Aug. 23 —24 and will necessitate road
closures throughout Vail. A large amount of coordination and cooperation will be required for the
event. For logistical questions, contact Vail Police Sgt. Chris Botkins at 390-4159. For more

this construction update as the event nears.

Public Project Updates
Seibert Circle
WET Design is scheduled to arrive today (6/13) to calibrate and program the fountain, which is
anticipated to take two weeks. Contact Todd Oppenheimer at (970) 390-4678 or (970) 479-

Vail Transportation Center Reroof
A reroof of the bus terminal at the Vail Transportation Center is underway. Impacts to the
parking structure are expected to be minimal and the contractor is required to maintain access
to all buildings at all times. Contact John Gallegos at (970) 479-2170.
Vail Road and Vail Valley Drive Overlays
Curb and gutter work is occurring on Vail Road and Vail Valley Drive in preparation for overlays
of both roads scheduled for June 17-18, weather permitting. Call Chad Salli at (970) 479-2169.
Eaqle River Water& Sanitation District Work
Water and sewer line work on Beaver Dam Road is underway and is anticipated to continue
through October. Access to all residences will be maintained; however, it will change from east
to west as work progresses. Pedestrians are asked to avoid Beaver Dam Road.
Also, work is underway on the abandonment of an old water line in Vail Valley Drive. Motorists

Private Project Updates
Front Door
The plaza area is nearing completion, with final landscaping underway. Work continues on the
chalets with the first group scheduled for completion by mid-July. The tower crane will be
removed after the Fourth of July weekend. Contact Jeff Haselhorst, Hyder Construction at (303)

Solaris
The first tower crane will be assembled on-site this weekend. The last portion of excavation is
underway. Pre-cast deliveries are continuing daily. Contact The Weitz Company, Rob Robinson

FourSeasons
Prep for the Vail Road sidewalk near the Main Vail roundabout is underway. Contact Layton

Manor Vail
Site work is continuing, with the project aiming to have public access to Ford Park through the
site open by July 1. Contact GE Johnson Construction, John Parr at (719) 330-3337 or Austin

Mountain View
Work to complete the boulder wall above the streamwalk is anticipated to resume next week.
Flaggers will be in place to ensure pedestrian safety. Contact Jeff Pugmire, R.A. Nelson, (970)

The Willows
Paving of Willow Road is scheduled to occur early next week. Contact Paul Burbidge, R.A.

Rucksack
Demolition is essentially complete. Next week, a crane will be on-site. Contact Mark Hallenbeck,

Announcements
• Katsos Ranch recreation path is open; shoulder work, landscaping and restoration of
picnic areas is continuing. Users should anticipate equipment on the path and possible

• Work on the Ford Park raw water project to convert irrigation systems from domestic
water to untreated water is complete, with landscaping work underway. Contact John

Streetscape
• Snowmelt, sand and pavers are currently being installed in front of the Landmark.
• Steps are complete in front of the General Store.
• Lifts are working on all sides of the building exterior (stonework, stucco, etc.)
• Pavers are complete south of Haagen Dazs and on the plaza.
Core Site
• Work in plaza continues from lifts on downspouts, stucco and stonework.
• Bike path grading continues in the skier yard.
• Waterfall wall and plaza fountain are anticipated in the next month.
• Work around escalators and spa entrance is wrapping up with clean up and the
installation of the chandeliers remaining.
Ritz-Carlton
