Applications are due to the town by 5 p.m. Oct. 29. The Vail Town Council will conduct interviews during its work session on Nov. 4, with appointments to follow at its evening meeting. (All scheduled activities are subject to change.) Contact Todd Oppenheimer at (970) 390-4678 or (970) 479-2161. West Meadow Drive Streetscape Curb and gutter work is underway moving east from Vail Valley Medical Center. Utility work is 80% complete. Brick pavers for walkways are anticipated to begin next week. Traffic is reduced to one lane, west bound only between Vail Road and Vail Valley Medical Center 24/7. Pedestrian access is being maintained; cyclists are asked to dismount through the area. Contact Chad Salli at (970) 479-2169. Eaqle River Water& Sanitation District Work on Beaver Dam Road Prep for paving is underway, which is anticipated to occur at the end of next week. The entire project is targeting completion by the end of October. Pedestrians are asked to avoid Beaver Dam Road. Contact John Cahill at (970) 477-5447 for more information. Private Project Updates Front Door Site work is wrapping up. The first five chalet residences have received TCOs. Interior work on the remaining chalets will continue into winter with completion scheduled for March 2009. Contact Jeff Haselhorst, Hyder Construction at (303) 829-5741. Solaris The process has begun to remove the ramp at the East Meadow Drive side of the site. A road closure on East Meadow Drive is anticipated to occur Oct. 16 and potentially Oct. 17 to facilitate the final pre-cast work. Traffic control will be in place. FourSeasons Paver sidewalk from Mayor's Park across the Four Seasons frontage on West Meadow Drive will occur this fall. A lane closure on the South Frontage Road is anticipated to occur within the 1 next two weeks to allow for permanent power to be run to the site. Completion of the tenth floor is underway. Manor Vail The remainder of the parking lot is scheduled to be paved by the beginning of November. Punch list items are underway. Backfill 90% complete around the perimeter of the building and landscaping will begin next week. Driveway entry and sidewalk repair are scheduled to occur yet this fall. Contact Jeff Pugmire, R.A. Bell Tower Buildinq Setting of the ridge beam is scheduled for Oct. 16 and will require a full street closure of Gore Creek Drive between 7 a.m. and noon. Announcements • West Forest Road has reopened following replacement of the gondola cable. • Work on the north side of Vail Village Inn Phase III is underway and includes realigning the existing curb and gutter, installing a concrete pan in front of the garage access and installing a heated paver walkway. Work is expected to be complete by the end of the month. Pedestrian and vehicular access is being maintained; however, driveway access will be narrowed to single lane at times for construction. Private Project Updates The Arrabelle at Vail Square Primary Contact Matt Lydens, Vail Resorts Development Company (970) 331-7755; mlydens(a�vailresorts.com 2 Streetscape • Pavers are being installed in front of Montauk and Patagonia. • Additional drain work on the west side of the Arrabelle is complete and asphalt is scheduled for next week. Core Site • Punch work is continuing on all buildings and the plaza, which involves the use of lifts. • Drains and pavers are being raised or lowered on the plaza to remove puddles. • Plaza fountain finishes are nearly complete. • Maypole art work is scheduled for the middle of October. • Gondola building stone work is nearly complete. • The temporary loading dock is being removed and the bike path has been restored to its original configuration. • Snow melt and pavers will begin next week in ski yard. Ritz-Carlton Road closures of West LionsHead Circle are scheduled for Oct. 17, 20 and 21 to facilitate concrete pours and material delivery, weather permitting. Traffic control will be in place.
