SUMMARY The applicant, Lodge Tower South Condomini�rm Association, represented by Stan Cope, has requested a works�ssion with the Planning & �nvironmental Gommission to discuss a proposed major exterior alteration to the Lodge Tower South Condominiums, lacated a� 164 Gore Creek Drive. As this is a worksessian, the applicant is not requesting a farma9 d�cision. Instead, the applicant is requesting that the Commission listens to a brief presentation on th�e applicant's eoncept�al plans and provides any input the Commissior� rnay have at this time. A more formal application will be submitted at a future date. IL DESCRIP710N OF THE REC�UEST The applicant, Lodge Tower South Condominium Association, represented by Stan Cope, has requested a worksession with the Planning & Environmental Commissian to discuss a propQSed major exterior alteration ko the �odge Tawer South Condominiums, located at 164 Gore Creek Drive. As this is a worksession, the applicant is not requesting a formal decision. Instead, the applicant is requesting that the Commission listens to a brief presentation an the applicant's conceptual plans ac�d provides any input the Commission may have at this time. A more formal application will be submitted at a future date. The purpose of this worksession is to allaw the applicant an opportunity to present conceptual plans for a major exterior alteration to the Lodge Tower South Condominiums. An application was submitted at this time to allow the applicant, staff, adjacent property owner (Vail Resorts), and the Commission an opportunity to consider the applicant's proposal in light of the development applications Vail Resorts Development Compar�y has submitted for develapment an tk�e ad�oining land to south of the Lodge Tower. Both staff and the applicant see this as an oppor�unity to consider both development appfication (Vail �iesort �evelopment 1 Company and Lodge Tower South Condorr�iniurn Association) simultaneously in an effiort to prevent or identify any potential conflicts between the two projects. The key elements of the applicant's pr�posal include: • A new lobby addition • A new below grade owner storage locker area • A new elevator and stair tower • A new loading and delivery facility on the west end of t�e building • A new means of access into the underground parking structure • A new office, administration and common area A reduced copy of the proposed conceptual plans have been attached for reference {attachment A) A vicinity map illustrating the location of the development site has been attached for reference (attac6hment B} III. STAFF RECOMMENDATION As this is a worksession, the Community Development Department will not be making a recommendation at this time.
