Field Report
The following items were observed:
The purpose of this meeting was to make a framing inspection of the steel framing for the first, second and third
floors in the building atrium.
I have determined that these floors have been framed according to the plans and specifications certified by this
office,with a couple of modifications that have been coordinated between the contractor and myself during the shop
drawing phase.
Specifically,the modifications are the following:
1. All channels are C8x11.5 in lieu of the MC8x8.5 originally specified.
2. All connections are welded in lieu of the bolted connections originally shown on the plans. The welds have
been completed to my satisfaction.
3. A couple of joists are supported by a seat angle at the first floor, since a ledger channel would have
conflicted with pipe lines at this location.
