Minor Exterior Alteration
General Information: This application is required for all proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site
improvements, such as roofing, painting, window additions, landscaping, fences, retaining walls, etc. Applicable Vail
Town Code sections can be found at www.vailgov.com under Vail Information—Town Code Online. All projects requiring
design review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department, as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and

Re: Bungee Trampolines
Dear Design Review Board,
The purpose of this application is to ask for approval to install a set of Bungee Trampolines in
conjunction with our current Mini Golf summer operation in Lionshead. This installation would increase
the availability of attractions to our summer guest while visiting Vail and specifically the Lionshead
portal. Bungee Trampolines are an exciting,fun activity for kids of all ages!
The trampolines would be installed just west of the existing mini golf,just east of the bottom of Chair 8
and within the mini golf's fenced enclosure. All staging of users would take place inside a fenced
perimeter near the bottom of chair 8. Approved warning and informational signs as well as crosswalks
have already been established in conjunction with the mini golf operation and this infrastructure can be
easily modified to include the trampoline operations if necessary.
Trampoline operations would mimic those of our mini golf operation with a dedicated staff specific to
the operation. The basic operational plan for Mini Golf for summer 2013 is;
• Open 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday,June 14th through Monday, September 2nd( potentially
earlier and later as weather dictates)
• Tickets available at the Lionshead Ticket Office or onsite at the Lionshead Utility Building
• Staffed by Adventure Ridge personnel at all time during hours of operation
The trampolines are a pre-manufactured,erect onsite apparatus. They will be built at our approved
location in the spring/summer and then removed in the fall. These trampolines have been in use at
Adventure Ridge at Eagle's Nest for a number of years.
The area around the trampoline operation will be landscaped to match the existing and approved course
of action we took with the mini golf operation. Natural products and low height planting materials will
be used to facilitate both good character and winter operations.
