They are probably most beautiful in their natural environment. This pine is a subspecies of two - needle mountain pine. It has upright, compact growth and is ideal for small -sized gardens as it grows max. 4m tall and 3m wide. Rostrata is a selection of mountain pine with one great difference — it has a central leader which makes that neat, symmetrical, tree -like shape. It grows slowly and forms a dense shrub. Its origin is not clear, it is probably a natural cross between pinus uncinata and pinus mugo. Unlike uncinata it needs well drained soil, plenty of sunshine and is lime - tolerant. Fully hardy to approx. -45 °C (USDA zone 2). Last update 03 -12 -2008. Like 0 SIZES and PRICES CURRENTLY SOLD OUT http: / /www.havlis.cz/karta en.php ?kytkaid =312 5/14/2013
