At 1905 Sun Burst Drive the electrical remodel involves, adding a bath and moving
laundry into existing storage space. Existing laundry becomes bedroom. Adding 1 light
fixture for pool table in the game room. Total house 4,100' sq including garage with no
increase. The existing Service is 200 amp, 240 volt. Being deleted from the service is a
1000W Insta Hot. The increased load is about the same 1000W lighting. Load
calculations are as follows.
General lighting 3 VA per ft. sq. X 4,100' sq. = 12,300 VA
Small appliance. 5 circuits X 1,500 VA = 7,500 VA
Laundry 2 circuits X 1,500 VA = 3,000 VA
Total = 22,800 VA
22,800 VA- 3,000 VA= 1,900 VA X 35% = 6,030 VA+ 3,000 VA= 9,930 VA
Net Gen. Lighting 9.9 KW
Oven. 6.1 KW
Steam Unit. 8.0 KW
Mechanical. 4 KW
Heat tape. 3 KW
Total Calculated Load = 31.0 KW / 240 Volts = 129 Amps
