The primary residence at 486 Forest Road is proposed to be expanded by 230 square feet and approximately 300 square feet of site coverage as allowed. An existing previous addition on the south side of the house has been demolished under a separate demolition permit and will be replaced as the major portion of this expansion. This will be a one story over basement addition. Plans are attached. In addition, this proposal includes upgrading the front entry with a relocated front door, steps and a roofed area to improve the visibility and appearance of the entrance. This entry mimics components of the neighboring duplex to maintain compatibility between the two units. The renovation includes upgrading materials on the street fagade of the house, including expanding stone veneer areas, adding copper panels to the garage doors and copper panels on a portion of the upper fagade. To maintain compatibility with the neighboring duplex, copper panels will be added to the garage door on that house as well. Finally, minor interior improvements including new tile and lighting in the bathrooms, refinishing of woodwork in the primary living areas and improvements to the kitchen are anticipated. 0 TOWN OF VA JOINT PROPERTY OWNER WRITTEN APPROVAL LETTER The applicant must submit written joint property owner approval for applications affecting shared ownership properties such as duplex, condominium, and multi - tenant buildings.
