General Information: This approval is granted for the removal of dead or diseased trees only. A separate
application is required to request tree removal /replacement in the Town of Vail. This form must be signed by a
Town of Vail authorized representative who has inspected the tree(s). To request an inspection, please call
Tom Talbot, Wildland Coordinator at (970) 477 -3509.
Applicant has 30 days from the date of this application to submit a mitigation plan to the Town of Vail Wldland
Coordinator.

One spruce tree infested with pine needle scale located behind residence
is flagged for removal. The tree in question is also three sided. There is
minimal growth on one side if the tree. The side that is viewed from
residence. Aesthetically it is not very appealing from this multi- million
dollar property. Due to the weighted sides of the tree,, if it would fail
during high winds, snow, or the like, it could fall downhill onto the
neighbors residence, pedestrians animals, or who could tell.
In addition. The homeowner would like to replace the tree and improve
his (and neighboring) properties by plant three fifteen foot spruce trees
to replace the lopsided, infested tree.
The tree in question should be permitted for removal.
