Notification of Need to Resolve Submittals: VFES has attempted to expidite the issuance of a fire sprinkler permit for the Go: Residences Bldg' s 1 and 2 . We have found two different sets of plans that have be� submitted for permit, both stamped by 42/40 and RJA. There are varying degrees of discrepen� between the two sets of plans and calculations . In the process of trying to resolve conflicting editions of plans, conflicting ed: hydraulic calculations, the attempt to submit unauthorized copies of plans in vio: Colorado Revised Statutes and AIA and Engineers Board Code of Ethetics, it has be� apparent 42/40 altered the approved set of permit plans after review by RLA and V; without authorization, necessitating a re-review by RJA and VFES. Hydraulic calculations must be resubmitted to reflect proprosed changes in the pe: of plans . New plans must be submitted, with review stamps by 42/40 then by RJA. I must point out the permit set was an exception to the regulations and Code of E- and normal porcess, in the interest of getting the job underway. RA Nelson had framed construction without the required means to suppress a fire on site. The Garage se� plans was issued for the temporary standpipe only. Work has proceeded well beyond that � VFES considers the current state of conditions totally unacceptable. I do not per� maliscious intent, but a gross violation of normal process is apparent. Simular issues have become apparent as it relates to the permit applications for � residential buildings as well . I am releasing the permits for the residential bui: but only on a conditional basis as noted on the individual permits . Failure to resolve these issues on or before the 24th of November, 2005, will res� LOCK on the permits and the issuance of a stop work order for the entire project. We would invite the participation of 42/40, VRDC, RJA, All State, RA Nelson, and � Building Dept. towards a resolution. Nothing "critical" as it relates to life saf� " appears to have occurred yet, but we cannot continue down this path. The current process : severely flawed as to present a significant risk to property and life safety. The spinkler system is a critical element of the Administrative Modification.
