O1/22/2007 mcgee Action: DN I have conducted a
review of the plans submitted for the Lodge at Lionshead
Phase I and II under B07-0005 and B07-0006.
The plans are not approved for due cause.
The comments are as follows :
L 2 The pedistrian exit and driveway from Treetops Plaza
needs to be submitted prior to issuance of a permit.
The entry gate must be coded to allow fire department
access.
Show the access and location to the fire department
connection for Phase 1
Submit specifications on the Bar B Que shown on the
plans .
L 3 Show the location of the fire department connection
for ;Phase II
A 2 . 1 Note 6 - The Jomy fire escape is not approved under
the definition of the International Fire Code,
2003 edition, Section 202, as adopted by the Town of
Vail.
A 2 .2 Details on the ski lockers will have implications
for the fire sprinkler system design.
Define "pool storage" as a use.
A 2 . 3 Door keypads must provide for fire department
access .
A 2 . 6 Plans indicate 2 - 2400 MBH boilers. A second exit
should be provided.
Phase 2 linen storage room design and shelving should be
coordinated with the fire sprinkler design.
A 2 . 11 A roof manifold is required for the fire
standpipe.

insulation and '� CDX plywood. No insulation is

not allowed and the design poses some
design issues for the fire sprinkler system.
