Re: Appliances stored outside on the west side of the hotel.
Dear Mr. Bhakta:
One of the many functions of Code Enforcement is to provide for the enforcement of the Town of
Vail Municipal Codes.
It has come to our attention that the above-described property may be in violation of the Town of
Vail Municipal Codes as follows:
Reported Violation(s): You have allowed appliances to be stored outside in violation of
the Town Code.
Section 6-3F-1 (ABANDONED ICEBOXES, REFRIGERATORS AND CONTAINERS) of
the Town Code states, in part, that:
It is unlawful for any person to leave or permit to remain outside of any dwelling,
building, or other structure, or within any unoccupied or abandoned building,
structure or dwelling under such person's control within the Town in a place
accessible to children, any abandoned, unattended or discarded icebox,
refrigerator, or other container which has a door or lid, snaplock or other locking
device which may not be released from the inside, without first removing the door
or lid, snaplock or other locking device. (Ord. 17(1966) Art. 1 § 6)
Section 5-2-5 (RUBBLE STORAGE) of the Town Code states, in part, that:
Rubble need not be stored in refuse containers or refuse storage rooms, but shall
not be allowed to accumulate and shall be stored in such a manner as not to
constitute or create an unsanitary or unsightly condition or a health or fire hazard.

We are asking that you remove the appliances within 7 days of receipt of this letter. Failure to
comply will result in a summons being issued.
