Dear Terry:
One of the many functions of Code Enforcement is to provide for the enforcement of the
Town of Vail Municipal Codes.
It has come to our attention that the above-described property may be in violation of the
Town of Vail Municipal Codes as follows:
Reported Violation(s): You have commercial equipment stored on your property.
Section 12-6D-1 (PURPOSE) of the Town Code states, in part, that:
The two-family primary/secondary residential district is intended to provide sites
for single-family residential uses or two-family residential uses in which one unit is a
larger primary residence and the second unit is a smaller caretaker apartment, together
with such public facilities as may appropriately be located in the same district. The two-
family primary/secondary residential district is intended to ensure adequate light, air,
privacy and open space for each dwelling, commensurate with single-family and two-
family occupancy, and to maintain the desirable residential qualities of such sites by
establishing appropriate site development standards. (Ord. 30(1977) §2)
We are asking that you remove the heavy equipment(also referred to as commercial
equipment) from your property within 15 calendar days from receipt of this letter.
Failure to do so will result in a summons being issued.
