May 20,2013 31 Town of Vail Community Development Department Vail, Colorado Re: Ruttum Building Permit Cc: To Whom it May Concern: I just checked with JR for status of Building Permit and he informed me that I may have to have an Architectural Stamp because where the average slope beneath the proposed structure and parking area is in excess of thirty percent. I did a calculation during my design phase and the worst senerio I came up with was a.256%slope. This was from the N/E corner of the garage to the S/E corner of the residence: 19' drop divided by 74' distance which equals.256%slope. Taking any other points and measurements only decreases the slope any where else beneath the structure. The parking area is over 30%so the retaining walls will have an engineered stamp. I hope this will be sufficient in the case. I have had to get Architectural Stamps before when the building was on a slope exceeding 30%.
