Date: ________ Auth #_________ Check # ___________ Fee Paid: Received From: Meeting Date: DRB No.: Planner: Project No.: Zoning: Land Use: Location of the Proposal: Lot: Block: Subdivision:                feet meters 3000 900 '* ~ 9 I • ~£b «- b r ~ !J' ~ 0 ~ ~~ ! r • r ~t 11 b m ~~ D -< ~ fI f, r l- I tJ fr p ~ qp ~ -,¥p ri~;.J c p 0 ~r ~ 1--1 ~t'" ~ C ..... ~ R , The primary reason for this proposed menu board project is to increase the summer visibility of the Larkspur Restaurant and Bar to the guest. The restaurant’s location lends itself more to the winter skiing guest with the main entry located on the south side of the Golden Peak Lodge Building. This proposed project would look to locate an auxiliary menu board on the north side of the Golden Peak Lodge building in a planter area near Vail Valley Drive where it would be visible to passers by. This location would be used during the restaurant’s summer operation only and removed during “shoulder” periods. The proposed project would also look to locate the same sign into a planter box adjacent to the north side of the Golden Peak Lodge building during the restaurant’s winter operating season. Pictures of these locations are attached. The menu board structure would be located in the planted area (orange and yellow flowers) adjacent to the lower parking lot facing Vail Valley Drive. All summer landscaping would be maintained. The structure would be mounted as close to the concrete wall as possible to minimize sight lines of vehicle exiting the lot. The menu board structure would be located inside the planter box area just to the left of the trash can seen in the photo near the bottom of the main staircase. An overall aerial view showing both locations accompanies this presentation. The basis for the structure is 6 “ x 6” wood beans. There are metal accents on the rear and in the center to support the menu board. In addition to the menu board which measures 2 feet wide by 2 feet, 6 inched high there is restaurant identity sign which measures 2 feet wide by 6 inches high. The menu board plus the restaurant identifier meet the 6 square foot maximum size per code. The restaurant identifier sign would be gold metal with raised black lettering. All wood to be painted Oxford Brown. All metal to be painted Hearthstone Brown to match existing metal accents of the Golden Peak Lodge Building. This is the existing menu board near the main entry to the restaurant on the south side of the building. The proposed north side menu board would match.
