General Information: This application is to request tree removal in the Town of Vail. As part of this application,
the property owner may be required to replace trees that are removed. If required to replace, applicants must
replant trees by November 1 st of the following year from the date of approval. Please be prepared to provide a
tree replacement plan. Please see tips for tree planting and species selection on next page. Design review
approval expires one year from date of approval.

Mrs. Schrager has asked for me to file for two tree removals. Both trees are lodge pole pines along back
side of property and river. The trees are flagged with flagging for identification by the board. Mrs.
Schrager states that the trees have been thinning every year and are becoming unsightly. She would like
if the trees were removed so that the large mature spruce that are located very close to them have a
better chance of growing in nice and full. She thinks the appearance of the spruce are much more
favorable for her location. Please let me know if you would need us to submit a replacement plan. She
says she met with the town in the past and their comments were that she has a lot of trees on her
property and she wouldn't need to replace. I was not involved at that time with her requests so I do not
have any more information regarding those details.
