EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The services of Magna IV Engineering were retained by Guarantee Electrical Contracting to perform low voltage acceptance testing at the waste water treatment plants located in Vail and Avon Colorado. Our scope of work for the project included acceptance testing, function testing, cleaning, and inspection of electrical distribution equipment based on the standards developed between Guarantee Electrical Contracting and Magna IV Engineering, previous projects, IEEE, NETA and NEMA standards, and Magna's practices and procedures for acceptance testing. Based on our test results, the equipment tested is suitable for service at rated capacities. Section 4.0 of this report detail the deficiencies and recommendations that were found during our activities. Please review the Summary of Results and Deficiencies to determine what actions should be scheduled and budgeted for prior to and during the next maintenance period to optimize the operation of your equipment. We strongly recommend continuing a maintenance program to ensure oil equipment is tested annually or included in a 4-year plan to continue the reliable and, most importantly, safe operation of the equipment. SUMMARY OF TESTS All tests performed are based on the scope of work developed between Guarantee Electical Contracting and Magna IV Engineering, previous projects, IEEE, NETA and NEMA standards, and Magna's practices and procedures for acceptance testing. Specific tests performed on the power distribution equipment are as follows: 3.1. SUMMARY OF RESULTS AND DEFICIENCIES 1 When completeing the testing activities at the Avon site, it was noticed that the ground bus splicing on MCC-6 was not correctly installed. Correct splicing is important for proper grounding of the electrical system and helps to protect in the event of an electrical fault. After bringing the issue to Mike's attention, corrective measures were taken to resolve the defeciency. 5.0.
