BUILDING DEPARTMENT COMMENTS
Architectural Comments:
1 Please indicate the actual construction valuation for this project. The project value indicated on the building permit application is $150,000.
2 Revise stairway to provide a minimum 36” width per R311.7
3 Revise plans to provide a minimum of one emergency escape and rescue opening complying with R310 for the master bedroom.
4 Include notes on plans for carbon monoxide detectors to be installed throughout the existing home per R315
5 Revise window schedule to indicate all U-values for the new windows per N1102.1
Structural Comments:
6 Include (2) copies of the soils report for this project.
7 Revise sheet S2 to provide a footing below the new beam pocket. The soil bearing capacity is listed at 1500psf.
Plumbing Comments:
8 Revise gas piping plan. The 1” gas pipe to the 350,000 boiler is undersized. The minimum pipe size is 1 ¼”.
