Greg,
After discussions with our engineering and repair department, I have an
update regarding the proposed repair. Because the elevator is a Schindler
330A, virtually all electrical work involves programtning already existing
equipment that is part of the elevator car operating panel. The only item
thats will be added are two two-terminal key switches that, when activated, \
allow the car call buttons to be used as a keypad for security reasons.
All connections are made locally inside the COP. We will be performing the
same work that was done last year in another one of the cars.
If the existing elevator was not a Schindler 330A, the electrical
requirements would be much more extensive and would likely include
significantly more electrical work. Please let me know if this satisfies
the requirements from the City of Vail. If not, I'll be more than happy to
put them in touch with our repair department so that the work can be more
thoroughly explained. Thanks.

Asbestos Testing &Abatement Requirements
Asbestos testing and abatement protects workers, homeowners, neighbors and emergency services responders from ex-
posure to harmful asbestos. The Town of Vail asbestos abatement program is in addition to the State of Colorado's regu-
lations. It is your responsibility to be in compliance with the State. Please contact the State directly for their requirements
at the contact info listed below.
When is asbestos testing required?
ANY building projects disturbing more than these threshold levels of building materials require asbestos testing:
One- and Two-Family Dwellings: 30 square feet
All Others: 160 square feet
Asbestos testing results must be provided with your application for a building permit.
Tests which identify POSITIVE results at more than 1% require abatement by a State-certified and Vail-registered abate-
ment contractor. An asbestos abatement permit must be approved, and the clearance letter must be submitted to the
Town of Vail before the building permit will be issued
