RE: Lionshead Centre unit 309

This letter is intended to describe the full scope of work for changes to the fire sprinkler system that will
be performed by Western States Fire Protection in unit 309 at Lionshead Center.
Required modifications to the fire sprinkler system are as follows.
: Relocate 1.5" branch line from soffit to be removed to above ceiling in kitchen area. Existing
Sidewall head on 1.5" branch line will be changed to a pendant head in the kitchen.
: Relocate one sidewall head in living room for balcony enclosure. Existing head is a dry sidewall
and will be changed to a standard horizontal sidewall to match existing heads in the living room.
: Eliminate one head in master bedroom closet. Existing closet is being divided into two closets
under 24 square feet and less than 3 feet deep.
: Add 1 head in new washer/dryer room. New head will be an intermediate temperature head.
All work performed will comply with NFPA13 and local standards.
This is a copper wet system on the third floor. All added materials will be compatible to the existing
system.
It is our understanding that this letter will be sufficient to obtain a permit to proceed with the work
described above. No other work will be done without authorization from VFES. If further information is
required to issue a permit please contact our office in Glenwood Springs at 970-618-3294.
