(GROUND) performed during the improvements to Red Sandstone Park, located on the North Frontage Road in Vail, Colorado. The special inspections and materials testing services were performed at times scheduled by the Owner, Contractor and/or Subcontractors between September 30, 2011 and February 15, 2012. A representative of our office visited the project site on October 18, 2011, as scheduled, to observe the footing subgrade for allowable bearing capacity. On December 13, 2011, a GROUND representative visited the project site to observe the installation of drilled and epoxied anchor bolts. During construction, representatives of our office provided periodic testing on the structural concrete placed for the foundations. Samples of the structural concrete were periodically tested to determine physical properties and compressive strength. Structural steel field welded and bolted connections were observed during construction by a certified welding inspector (CWI). These observations were completed at times scheduled by the Owner, Contractor or Subcontractor. Based on the final test results to date, field observations, RFI's received and other project documentation received from the design team, it is our opinion that the materials tested and/or observed for the foundation soils, structural concrete, structural steel field connections and anchor bolts were in general accordance with project plans, specifications, or applicable RFI's. We did not supervise, direct or have any control over any of the Contractor's or Subcontractor's work. We were not responsible for the Contractor's or Subcontractor's scheduling of our services, means, methods, procedures, techniques, or sequences of construction, nor responsible for ensuring that any Contractor or Subcontractor performed or completed the work in accordance with the contract documents or construction industry standards.
