Amendment to the 2002 N.E.C. Town of Vail Ordinance 4, S�ries of_2005

� Underground services shall be in conduit (PVC) from the ufi/itytransformer to the electric meter, main disconnect
switch, and to the first electrical distribution circuit breaker panel.
❑ The main disconnect swritch shall be read�ly accessih/e, and located ne�ct to the rneter on the exterior wall of the
structure. All undergrnund conduits are required to be inspectec! be#ore back-filling the trench.
❑ In multi-family dwelling units, na electrical wiring or feeder cables shall pass from ane unit to another. Common walls
and spaces are exempt.
❑ NM Cable (Rom�x) can be used only in single and mulfi-family dwellings. Type NM cannof be used in any
building mixed with Type A,B.E,F,H,I,M&S occupaRCies.
❑ Aluminum corrductors smaller than size#8 are not permitted.

❑ All installations of exterior hot tubs Qr spa's require a DRB approval from planning. This applicatiofl wilf not be
accepted wjthout a copy of#he C3RB approval form attached (df applicable).
❑ If this permit is for installation of an exterior hot tub or spa on a new elevated platform or deck over 30"above grade,
you must also obtain a building permit.
❑ 9f this �ermit is for ir�stallation of an exterior hot tub or spa an any existing deck or elevated platform, a structural
engineer must review the existing condition and verify that it will suppart the added concentrated load. Please prvvide
a copy ofi the structuraf engineers wet s#amp�d letter or drawing with this application.
❑ If this is a remodel in a multi-famrly building with a homeown�rs association,a letter of permission from the association
is required.
o If this permit is fo�a commercial space,two(2}sets of stamped dravwings are required. Elect�rical one-line and panel
schedules are required if load is added or disfribufion is alfered.
