Description of work:
Earlier this year, an interior and exterior renovation occurred at this unit under DRB approval number
DRB120588 and building permit number 612-0632. In addition to the interior renovation, all windows
were replaced except for one at the second level bedroom.
This permit submittal is to include replacement of the one existing window. This new window would be
about the same height of the existing window but would increase in width to match the new window
that was installed in the adjacent bedroom. The frame size of this new window would be 35"x48".
The window manufacturer is leld Wen, custom all wood window. The wood exterior of this window
would be painted to match the existing windows. The stucco trim will be replacement to match existing.
A new framed opening will be installed in accordance with the structural engineer's requirements. See
attached.

I have reviewed the existing framing plans and the proposed new upper level bedroom plan for the above
referenced project. It is proposed to remove all the interior walls in the bedroom. According to the existing
framing plans, none of these walls are bearing walis and can be safely removed. However, it should be verified
during demolition that the roof rafters have not been notched over the walis. If they have been notched,they will
have to be reinforced at the notch locations. Contact KRM Consultants, Inc.for a reinforcement detail if needed.
The headers over all the new exterior window openings should be(2)- 1 3/4 x 9 1/2 LVL's with
(2)-2 x 4 trimmers each end.
