Re : Scope of Work for Fire Alarm System
Dear Mike,
The following is a scope of work to be performed for the remodel at Mountain Haus Unit 339.
The scope of work will be to bring the remodeled area up to NFPA standards adopted by Vail
Fire Department and Installation standards. Currently all of the existing smoke detectors
inside the unit are mounted on the wall. We will be pulling new wire from the J-Box outside of
the unit to the entry, each bedroom and the living room. We will be installing electrical boxes
at each of these locations, center of the room. The new devices will be FAPT-851 and
FCO-851addressable combination smoke detectors. The FAPT-851 is a combination
smoke / heat detector while the FCO-851 is a combination smoke / heat / co detector. Both
of these devices will be installed on a B200S addressable sounder base. Current installation
has a speaker only mounted in the entry area only. We will be removing this device and
adding speakers only devices in each bedroom and the living room to achieve the required
70db at the pillow. These devices will be added to the current main fire alarm control system,
a Notifier NFS2-3030 located behind the the front desk in the office area.
Once work has been completed and tested, CSWC will contact Vail Fire to schedule a final
fire alarm test of the remodeled area.
