We have been contracted to replace the fire alarm system at the Christiana located in Vail Village .
1-he scope of the project is a device for device replacement of the existing fire system . We will be
replacing the existing conventional Firelite Sensiscan 200 with an addressable Silent Knight SK-
5820XL . Our installation will be performed in accordance with all local and national codes . The

Device locations on reflected ceiling plans
Reflected Ceiling Plans ( RCP)
Typical device wiring diagrams

In order to prevent a non-emergency response from the Vail Fire Department Suppression crews to the con -
struction location you may be working on , we ask that you per�orm the following tasks :
Determine what kind of fire alarm system exists within the structure you are
working in with the owner or th� manager of the property involved or by contact-
� ing the Vail Fire Department.
Determine with the owner or manager of the property , which alarm company
X services the system for them
Become familiar with the differ� nt components that are associated with the fire
X alarm system and how they operate before the DEMO begins.
Never paint a smoke detector, thermal detector, or any other component of the
X fire alarm system and never paint a sprinkler head/cover plate .
For larger projects , please contact the Vail Fire Department so that we can
work with you in determining what needs to be done to alter or "Zone Out" spe-
X cific areas of the alarm system for the structure .

Instructiions for calculating FIRE ALARM or SPRINKLER permit fees (see applicable section below) :
1 . Determine the valuation ( labor & materials)
2 , See base Permit Fee (flat fee)
3 . Calculate the Plan review fee ( multiply the valuation by the applicable percentage listed)

Permit Fee : 3 . 75% of the valuation
Plan Re�uiew Fee : $288 . 00, due at permit submittal
Fire Sarinkler :
Permit Fee : 4. 25% of the valuation

• Permits issued under a Scope of Work letter shall be assessed a fee not less than $ 144 . 00 and may be increased at a
rate of $ 72 . 00 per hour for inspections, revisions, and similar el � ments .
• Re-inspections and plan review for re-submittals shall be billed at $ 72 . 00 per hour.
• Operational Permits, Special Event Permits, and Construction Permits other than those required for Fire Atarm and Fire
Sprinkler systems, issued under provisions of the International Fire Code shall be based on an hourly rate of $72 . 00
per hnur per person for site inspections, plan review and permit processing .
