Hi Matt,
Attached please find the unit load calculation and 1 -line fault current model for the dwelling unit
#1 at the River House condominiums, 83 willow Pl Unit #1. I have confirmed the characteristics of the
electrical supply with the serving utility and the documentation requirements for the Town of Vail
Department of Community Development. I have reviewed the building electrical service and unit
distribution equipment to create the attached fault current model. Specific details of the actual service
construction were not obtainable at the time of my site visit so the attached model represents a "worst -
case" model for fault current. Actual fault currents will be less than shown in the attached model.
The existing Unit #1 feeder conductor characteristics limit the load capacity of the unit so the
replacement circuit breaker load center should be of similar characteristics to the existing panel - 100
amp rated with a fault current rating of not less than 10,000 amps. As such, there is little capacity to add
additional loads to the unit in the future without further analysis. It is incumbent upon the electrical
contractor to verify the temperature ratings of the existing unit feeder conductors are appropriate for the
installation and load.
The attached analysis is based on the following information:
