❑ Overhead services �re nat al�ovtired in the Town of Vail.
❑ Underground services shall be in conduit (PVC) from the ufi�ifytransfarrner to the electric meter, main c�iscannect
switch, and to the first electrical distrib�tion circuit breaker panel.
❑ T�e rnain discannect switch shall be readily accessible, and lacated ne�to th� meter on t�e exterior wall of the
s#ructure. All underground conduits are required to be inspected befare back-filling the trench.
❑ In multi-family dwelling units, no electrical w�ring or feeder cables shall pass from one unit to another. Common walls
and spaees are exempf.
❑ NNJI Cable (Rom�x) can be used only in single and mulfi-family dwellings. Type NM cannof be used in any
building mixed wifh Type A,6.E,F,H,I,M&S vccupancies.
o Aluminum conductors smaller than size#8 are not permitted.

❑ /�II installations of exterior hat tubs or spa's require a DRB appraval from plannir�g. This app�ication will not be
accepted withou# a copy af the DRB approval form attached (if applicable).
� If this permit is for ir�stal��tion of an ex#erior hot tub or spa on a new elevated platForm or deck over 30"abvve grade,
you must alsa obtain a building permit.
❑ If this permit is for installation of an eacterior hat tub or spa on any existing deck or ele�ated pla�farm, a structural
engineer must r�e�iew the existing condition and werify that it will suppart the added cor�centrated load. P4ease provide
a copy of the structural engineers wet stamped letter or drawing with this appli�atian.
❑ 1f this is a remndel in a multi-family building with�a homeowners associatior�, a le4ter of permission from t�e assaciation
is required.
� If this permit is fior a commercial space,two(2)sets of stamped drawings are required.Electrical on�-line and panel
schedules are required if load is added or distribution is altered.
