SPECIFICATIONS:
R19 unfaced fiberglass batts to section of interior floor to main level
Two layers of RI l unfaced batts to furred exterior walls one behind studs and one in stud bay
MemBrain smart vapor barrier to concrete furred walls
2" (R13) polyurethane spray foam to exterior rim joist areas to seal air gaps at plate and joist sides
R13 unfaced fiberglass batts to exterior rim joist areas over spray foam
Foam around window framing and concrete to seal gaps to the outside
R47 fiberglass Blow -In- Blanket- System to exterior ceiling areas to deck above
MemBrain smart vapor barrier to exterior ceiling areas
TOTAL cost installed including labor $ 2600.00

At exterior ceiling areas instead of the R47 BIBS ......................ADD S 1300.00

Notes:
a. There are gaps at the exterior rim joist areas at all sides which lets air & moisture into the ceiling
areas and into the exterior wall areas causing mold growth and potential pipe freezing
b. The existing insulation at the exterior ceiling is only an RI l which is creating condensation
And also allowing the exterior ceiling space to remain at a temperature close to the outside temp
c. It is recommended the exterior ceiling be brought up to code and the rims be sealed with foam
d. The Blow -In- Blanket — System will function fine at the exterior ceiling areas as estimated in the base
Price, but the spray foam option is a far more superior application. If the town of Vail requires the
Insulation to be brought to code the foam option will need to be done Vail code is R49
