Vail,Co 81657 Re: 1450 Buffer Creek Road Dear Development Review Coordinator, We appeared before the Design Review board on September 6,2012 and our application was"continued". We would like to submit the following package for your review and consideration. The scope of the project is to construct a below ground utility vault to house an emergency generator for the Brownstein Residence located at 1450 Buffer Creek Rd. The existing grade,at the northern side of the lot is naturally sloping at approximately 2' of fall for 6' of run,and is vegetated with mature lodge pole pines. On the uphill side of the vault(]ocated just down hill from the Narth West corner of the existing house)a single boulder retaining walls will be constructed to allow for grading.A steel grate cover will be used to provide security and access for maintenance. I had included in our original application a specification for the generator and the noise suppression case that is included. The document states that the noise levels are a modest 72 Db,and we will be additionally dampening that noise by isolating the generator in a concrete vault. The generator will need to be exercised once per month for approximately 20 min. and can be scheduled to minimize any impact on the neighbors. I hope that you will consider our application.
