TOWN OF VAIL
This letter is intended to describe the full scope of work for modifications to the existing fire sprinkler
system that will be performed by Western States Fire Protection in the new Blu Cow bar /restaurant,
formally known as Old Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
Required modifications to the fire sprinkler system are as follows.
Lower two sidewall heads for new ceiling framing in entry.
Replace four heads and add two heads in dining area for required coverage.
Replace one head in bathroom.
Replace four heads in Kitchen area.
All head replacements will be with quick response heads of the same size and K- factor as the existing
standard response heads.
All work performed will comply with NFPA13 and local standards.
This is a steel pipe wet system. All added materials will be compatible to the existing system.
It is our understanding that this letter will be sufficient to obtain a permit to proceed with the work
described above. No other work will be done without authorization from VFES. If further information is
required to issue a permit please contact our office in Glenwood Springs at 970 - 618 -3294.
