General Information: This application is required for all proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site improve-
ments, such as roofing, painting, window additions, landscaping, fences, retaining walls, etc. Applicable Vail Town
Code sections can be found at www.vailgov.com under Vail Information – Town Code Online. All projects requiring de-
sign review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department, as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and /or the Planning and
Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building per-
mit is issued and construction commences.

To Whom it may concern
The attached plan shows a 6 ft tall, 30 ft long and 12 ft wide fence adjacent to the house located at 2712
Kinnikinnick Ct., Vail, CO 81657 within property lines.
We are asking the Town of Vail for permission to build this garden fence due to wildlife in the
neighborhood.
Last year all our vegetable harvest along with bushes on the other side of the house were destroyed by
deer and other animals. We are trying to protect our harvest from such wildlife by building a fence
adjacent to the house on the south side.
The fence will be difficult to see from the street and it will be made of a wood construction with inlaid
mesh.
We would like to build a replica of a garden fence shown in a picture attached.
The fence is absolutely necessary to keep wildlife out of the vegetable garden.
We are hoping the Town of Vail will approve this fence as it is unobtrusive to the landscape.
