This is a Electrical Load report for the Vail
Community Development Office for the remodel at Vail
Racquet Club Townhomes Unit J-1. I am the electrician
working for Burke Harrington Contruction. My company is
Eagle Electric Inc. and my name is Michael Koenen.
The property has multable apartments. The remodel has its own meter. The
meter has a 125 amp main breaker. The feeder to the panel is a 1/0 SER wire
from the meter.
The only power requirements we are adding are 4 additional recessed
lights which replace a surface light on the ceiling of the kitchen. The
existing ceiling fixture in the kitchen has 3, 75watt bulbs and we will
replace it with 4 recessed cans with 22 watt fluorescents . No change in
watts.
In the kitchen we will not need a new circuit for the microwave and a
new circuit for the refrigerator. A remodel before ran new circuits.
In the kitchen we are adding 2 under cabinet lights with 7- 20 watts
bulbs total 140 watts.
In the dining room, a kick space heater will replace the 6 foot base
board heater. The wattage will stay the same.
In the 1 bathroom upstairs we will change the reeessed can to a vanity
wall light over the sink. The shower will get a recessed can and 2- 3 inch
low voltage sloped cans in the ceiling. The bathrooms power requirements
will change from a 75 watt recessed light bulb to three 40 watt bulbs in the
vanity light fixture and 2- SO watt bulbs for the low voltage cans .
The baseboard heaters in the condo will be replaced by hydronic
baseboard heater which saves energy by 20%.
With the changes ther�e should be an energy savings.
