Do we have the HOA/Building's approval to move forward with our venting of the two downstairs bathrooms in
9G?They would theoretically start the first week of June after getting Town of Vail permits.I am working with
Ron K on project.
Thank you.-David

We plan to have the bathroom venting start middle of next week and end
before Nov 1.They will vent to the outside per our conversations. We have
no issues from the HOA/building management, correct?Once a date is
finalized,I will share with you all.
Everything seem like it worked out on the roof?Anything related to our unit
that can be shared specficaly around mold or smoke damage?
Thank you.-David

Hey David, how are you doing? Here's a roof update-so far all
the repairs, ridgid insulation board, ridge venting, flashing and
waterproofing have been completed. Due to the heavy rains in
your area our shingles have been delayed a week or two, but
the roof is dryed in and functional. One thing I recommend , is
for you to go ahead with your interior venting project as this
will cut down on condensation build-up,the ridge vent we
installed will also help. Now do a snow dance. Rob.

Has the new roof on Building 9 been completed? How did it
go?Was there anything to report related to mold and/or
improper venting of that bathroom?
Thank you for all of your help.

Hi William,As for your venting project,as long as your
not adding new electricity and just replacing a fan you
shouldn't need any special authorization to do that job,
providing your just following existing floor joists and
no major deviation from that.I'll be happy to take a look
for you.The planned roofing project has been delayed
because of rain until Sept.9th.

We are looking to have the two bedrooms on our
main floor properly vented to avoid any potential
future mold issues. We are currently getting
pricing from different vendors. If we decide to go
forward, what is the process in terms of getting
approval from the HOA to do a project like this?
Is there a formalized process we need to follow?
The vendor would get permits through the city of
Vail.

If it is possible,I would like to come
up around when they are removing
the roof just to ask if they get the
sense the venting on that bathroom
was done correctly.They can
probably let us know better on the
mold as well.We can pay out of

that they would not otherwise,but
probably the onty time we can get
this type of view of these locations.

We had a condo meeting tonight
and got an update on several
ongoing projects,including the
re-roofing of building 9. Looks
like contractor will be aiming for
mid-August start,weather
permitting. There will be a lot of
activity up above you--they will
try to keep noise and dust to a
minimum,but be aware that
there will be time pressure for
them to get in and minimize the
amount of time the roof is
actually open to the elements--
will be weather dependant. So,
just a heads up that this
improvement is on the horizon
and,as you are closest to the
repair work,will likely see some
of the activity. Cheers,
Andy
