There will be a buried perforated pipe running north-south thru the driveway and extending six feet into the ground area north of the driveway. There will be a small trench at that point, but I don't think it's necessary. The heat piping will also extend the six feet to avoid an ice dam at the side of the driveway. The drainage water will go down the hill to the north of the garage just like it presently goes.
