A second 2x12 shall be added to the existing 2x12 floor joists in this area. A double joist shall also be centered under any stone veneer, if added. In addition, the stairway was built differently than shown on our plan. The new lower landing is supported on a 3x12 stringer running from the upper landing down to the living room wall/floor.
