This Limited Warranty is effective for Sierra Pacific Window a�id Door Products manufactured on
or aRer April 1, 2014 a�id installed in Ihe United States and Canada, subject ro the stated
conditions and limitatious. It is trantiferable. Any previous warran[ies will continue ro apply to
products manufactured by Sierra Pacific Windows prior to this date. For additional intbnnation,
including care and maintenance instructions,installation instructions and previous warrauties,refer
to www.siertapaciCicwindows.com or eontact your local Sierra Paeifie Windows Service Center at
I-800-824-7744.
Insulated Glass-20 Year Limited N'arranty
Sierra Pacific Windows (SPW), as manufacturer, warrants [he insula�ed Elass' supplied in its
window a�id door products a�ainst failure of the air seal due [o defects in materials or
workmanship for a period of twenry(20)years from the date of manufacture.Thi,warranty does
not indude cracked or broken glass or damage to the product resultin� from accident,abusive
haudling,misuse,or shattering due to heat buildup.This warranty does not include a�iy iusulated
units that exceed fifry(50) square feet in overall size. Should there be a failure of the air seal
wfthin the first twenry(20)years of the warranty period,SPW will deliver to diz original point of
purohase,a replacement of insulated glass or sash glazed with inadated glass or will refund the
purchase pricc,at SPW's discretion.
Labor:For two(2)years from the date of manufacture,SPW will provide the labor ro replace the
defective insulated glass at no charge or will refund the pmchase prica,at SPW's discretiou. SPW
shall not be responsible for repainting,refinishing or similar activities involved in[he replacement
of glass.
SPW will not be responsible for any labor costs for the remainder of the warranty period:
years three(3)through tweuty(20).
No warranty is provided on insidated glass units manufactured without capillary tubes aud
installed at altitudes above 4000 feet. 1'he altitude limil for units with argon gas is 3500 feet.For
similady wnstriicted triple glaze insula[ed glass units,no warranty is provided for installations at
altitudes above 2200 feet.
Argon:The migration of an inert gas,such as argon,is a natural process that occurs over time and
is not a defect.Argon gas within an insulated glass'unit will dissipate over time.The conditions of
exposure and ma�iner of use oC the window or door product will affect die rate of dissipation.
Therefore, SPW makes no wairanty as to the amount or percentage of argon remaining in the
insulated glass unit at any time aRer ma�iufachire.
Laminated Glass: Laminated glass is warranted akainst delamination, premature failure of the
glass,or extensive permanent obsVuc[ion of vision due to seal Failure for a period of five(5)years
from the date of manufacture.
Wood Camponents, Hardware, Weatherstrip and Screens— 10 Year I,imited Warranty
SPW,as ma�mf'achirer,warrants for a period of ten(10)years from the date of ma�iufacture,diat
the wood components,hardware,weatherstrip and standard screens which accompany its products
(the "Components") will be free from defects in workmanship or materials whicli might
unreasonably affect the product's nonnal functioning.Specialty screens will be warran�ed fbr one
(I)year. During the ten (10) year warranty coverage period, SPW will repair or replace any
Components that are defective as to workmanship or materials at no charge,or will refund the
purchase price,at SPW's discretion. SPW shall not be responsible tor repainting,refinishing or
similar activities wnnected with the repair or replacement of any Component.
Labor For two(2)years from the date of manufacture,SPW will provide the labur to repair or
replace any Componen[s diat are defective as to workmanship or materials a[no charge,or will
refimd[he purehase price, at SPW's discre[ion. SPW shall not be responsible for repainting,
refinishing or similar activities connected widi the repair or replacement of a�ry Component.
SPW will not be responsibla for any labor costs for tl�e remainder of the warranty period:
years three(3)through ten(10).
This warranty shall be null and void if the customer fails to properly tinish,care lor and protect aII
wood Components against moisture and excessive dryness and ensure that all surfaces,intenor and
exterior, top and bottom, are thoroughly painted, varnished or sealed by accepted industry
finishing s�andards.This warranty sliall not apply to any weatherstrip,vinyl or plastic Components
to whieh any paint,varnish or stain has been applied.
Metal Clad-30 Year Limited Residential Warranty for SPW Products with AAMA
2605 Powder Coated Finishes
For Thirty(30)years from the date of manufacture,SPW will provide a limited warcanty on the
coating on the metal eladding against cracking or checking when viewed from a distance of'ten
(10)fce[."I'his warranty axcludes minute frac�unng or surface mars that may occur during proper
fabrication procedures.
Por Twenty-five(25)years from the date of manufacture, SPW will provide a limited wairanty
against color chauge of'more than seven(7)Della E units in accordance with ASTN D 2244.
For Twenty(20)years from the date of mm�ufacture,SPW will provide a limited warranty
on the wating on the metal cladding against color change of more than five(5)Deita E units in
accordance with ASTM D 2244;against chalking in excess of a number eight(8)rating based on
ASTM D 4214; a�id against adhesion loss (peeling) that significa�idy adversely affects die
appearance of the surface to which Hie coating is applied when viewed from a distance of ten Q 0)
feet from the product.
During the thirty(30)year warranty wverage period,SPW will repair or replace the defective
metal cladding,or will refimd Uie purchase price,at SPW's discretion.On airy replacement parts
where new wood is a component, SPW shall not be responsible for repainting, retinishing or
similar activities connected with such replacement.
Labor For two(2)years from the date of manufachire,SPW will provide the labor to repair or
replace the defective metal cladding at no charge, or will refund the purchase price, at SPW's
discre[ion. On any replacement parts where new wood is a component, SPW shall not be
responsihle for repainting,refinishing or similar activities connected widi such replacement.
SPW will not be responsible for any labor costs for die remainder of the warranty period:
years duee(3)through thirty(30).
This warranty provides full coverage for fluoropolymer powder perfonnance for the first twenty
(20)years from date of maimfacture.For the succeeding ten(10)years,SPW's responsibility for
corcective action due to fluoropolymer powder failure will be:years 21 through 24-60%;years 25
dirough 27-'_5%;years 28 through 30-5%.

Metal Clad-10 Year Limited Warranty for SPW Products with AAM11A 2604 Powder
Coated Finishes
For Ien(10)years f}om the date of ma�mfacture, SPW will provide a limited warranty ou die
coating on die metal claddin�against cracking or checking when viewed from a distance of ten
(10)feet;against cobr change of more than five(5)Delta E units in accordance with ASTM D
2244;against chalking in excess of a number eight(8)rating based on ASTM D
4214;and against adhesion loss(peeling)that significandy adversely affects the appearance of the
surface to which the coating is applied when viewed from a distance of ten (10)feet from the
product This warranty excludes minute fracturing or surface mazs that may occur during proper
fabrication procedures.
Labor. For two(2)years from die date of ma�iufacture,SPW will provide the tabor to repair or
replace the defective metat cladding at uo charge,or will refund the purohase pnce, at SPW's
discretion. On any replacement parts where new wood is a component, SPW shall not be
responsible for repainting,refinishing or similar activities connected witli such replacement.
SPW will not be responsible for any labor costs for the remainder of tl�e warranty period:
years three(3)through ten(10).
The SPW metal clad warrauty shall be mdl a�id void if die customer fails to follow the ma�idatory
warranty maintenance requirements outlined in this document a��d detailed in the SPW Owner's
Mai�ual.
Warranty Conditions,Exclusions and Limitations
Ihis warranty is limited to defects iu workmanship and ma[erials a�id expressly excludes da�nage
or defects caused by or arising from:
. On-site damage oceurring during construction due to vaudalism,acts of nature or any other
cause beyond SPW's conhol.
. Improper handling or installation by the builder or consumer a�id/or failure of the builder or
consumer to follow manufacturer's iustructions.
. Normal wear and tear and i�atural weadieiing of surfaces.
. Frolonged exposure to weather in the unfinislied a�id/or primed state.

• Products subjected ro conditions exceeding Iheir design size and/or design pressure limitations.
. Doors with ADA compliant sills,special hardware or no hardware.
. Windows with special hardware or no hardware.
. Variations in the color,grain a�id texhrce of wood products.
. Wood celhdar structure failure for wood Components a��d any Components that come in direct
coutact with soil.Note:supe�ficial mold/mildew does not indicate wood cellular structure
failure.
. hnproper finishing and/or maintenance of wood Components.
. Warping in door pa�iels unless it exceeds I!4"in the pla�ie of the pa�iel itself for doors up to
3'-6'x T-0"and/or 3/8"for doors over 3'-6'�x T-0".This does not refer ro d�e rela[ion of the
door panel to the frame or jamb in which it is hung.Action on any claim for watpage may be
deferred for a period of time up to twelve(12)mondis at SPW's option to permit conditioning
of die door to hwnidity and temperature ranges at the jobsite.
. Minor glass imperfections that do not affect nonnal vision or product perfonnance per die
guidelines established by ASTM C 1036.
. Sligh[ imperfections, wlor variations, wavy or shimmering distortions in the glass related Co
a laminata intedayer or heat strengthening of the glass-
. Glass breakage,failure due to misuse or abuse,and damage caused by failure to properly finish
and provide maintenance,by alteration or modification b the window(e.g.customer applied
tints or films,paint finishes,security systems),or as a result of any cause beyond the control of
SPW(e.g.vandalism,fire,flood,earthquake,odier acts of nature).
. Due b die increased potential for glass breal:age or seal failure,no warranty is provided for any
insulated glass unit tliat has an aRervmarket tint,UV block or other tilm applied.
• Condensation,surf'ace fogging or frost on exposed surfaces of windows or doors a��d any related
water damage which may occur as the natural result of hwnidity within the structure or changes
in interiodexterior temperatures.(Note:most condensa[ion problems are related to excessive
humidity levels in a structure;contact a heating/air conditioniug specialist for help).
. Finish failures or corrosion of alwniuum cladding or da�nage to other Componeuts caused by
contact with caustic chemicals,incl�iding but not limited to industrial cleanin�agents,
acid-based products,chlorine,and brickwash.
. Corrosion,wear or failure of standard hardware or alumiuum cladding in extreme conditions
including but not limited to,seacoast or other corrosive environments,as well as based on
elevation,orientation,a�id altitude,if die customer fails to follow the required warranry
mainteuance requirements oiRlined in this document a�id detailed in the SPW(hvner's Mauual.
. Produccs purohased dirou�;h SPW that are manufactured by a tliird parry(e.g.vinyl windows,
skylites,custom hardware)are not covered under the terms of this warranry.Refer to product
manufacturers warranty for terms of coverage.
Warranty Maintenance Requirements
NOTE: The perf'onnance of Ihe exterior aluminum coated finish,hardware aud/or Components
may vary based on installation in extreme environments, including but not limited to seacoast
and other corrosive environmenls, as well as based on elevation, orientation,altitude and odier
ahnospheric conditions. Normal,regidar maintenance of the product is required to maintain the
appearance,to eatend the finish life,and to keep the warranty intact.
Exterior Aluminum Coatin�s:
The following maintenance reqwrements for SPW products aze an integral part of Hie
warranty given for film integnty (e.g. checkiug, cracking, chipping and peeling),color
retention,and chalking.The warranty requires that regular cleanin�be perfonned periodically;at
least twice a year for non-extreme environments and four times a year for extreme environments,
including but not limited to,seacoast or other corrosive environments.The required maintenauce
procedures include:
. Use clean water with slight amounts of mild alkaline detergents to clean the eaienor .
aluminum clad surfaces.
. The cleaning effect may be increased by rubbing with a dean,soft,non-scratching,
non-abrasive cloth or cotton mitten with modest pressure
. "Che temperature of the parts to be cleaned must not exceed 80°F.
. Any chips or scratches must be repaired immediately and not lef't exposed to the elements.
. For removal of grease a�id oily substances,isopropyl alcohol may be used.
. The cleaning solution mu�t not be allowed to react or remain on the coating for more than
one(I)hour.
. After cleanin6,the surfaces must be rinsed with clean,cold water.
. A proper maintenance record must be kept and documenied."1'his documentation must
contain the following inforniation:
. Date
. Name and address of party perfomiing the maintenance
. Description of cleaning procedure a�id detergents used
. Signature on the document of die person perfonning the cleaning procedure

Allocation of Risks of SPW Product Performance: Because some water infiltration must be
a�iticipated in all construction,it is imperative that the wall systzm be designed a�id constnicted ro
properly ma�iage moisture.SPW is not responsible for claims or damages caused by anticipated or
unanticipated water infittration; deficiencies in building design, constn�ction and maintenance;
failure to install SPW products in accordance with SPW Insiallation Instmctions; or the use of
SPW products in systems, such as barrier wall systems,unless proper management of moisture
within the wall system is incorporated wid�in the design of the system.The detennination of the
suitability of all building components,including the use of SPW products,as well as[he design
and installation of flashing and sealing systems, are the responsibility of the buyer, owner,
architect,contractor,installer,or other constniction professional�uid aze not the responsibility of
SPW.All risks related ro buildiug design a��d construction,fitness of SPW product for a particular
purpose,or die maintenance,installation,and use of SPW products shall be assumed by the buyer
and/or owner in conjunction with the architect, contractor, installer, or other constniction
professional.
This I,imi[ed Wartanty sets forth our maximum liabiliry for our products.We shall not be liable
f'or special,indirect,consequential,or incidental da�nages. Your sole a�id exclusive remedy with
respect to any a�id all losses or da�nages residting from a�iy cause whatsoever shall be as specified
herein. We make no other warranty or guara�itee,either express or implied,including implied
warranties of'merchantability and of fitness for a particular purposz to the original purchaser or to
any subsequent user of the product,except as expressly contained herein. In the event state or
provincial law precludes exclusion or limitation of implied warranties,the duration of any such

The warranty on any replacement product will extend for the balance of the original warranty

express Limited Warra�rty. SPW cannot a�id shall not be liable to you for any other express or
implied warranties provided by distributors,dealers,salespersons or any other representatives of
SPW whether written or oraL Your exclusive remedy shall be repair,replacement or refund as
stated in this warranry. SPW,in its sole discretion,may choose[o repair the product as an option
to replacamant in full satisfaction of its warranty obligation.
