Minor Exterior Alteration
General Information: This application is required for all proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site improve-
ments, such as roofing, painting, window additions, landscaping, fences, retaining walls, etc. Applicable Vail Town
Code sections can be found at www.vailpov.com under Vail information -Town Code Online. All projects requiring de-
sign review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community Development Department, as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and
Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building per-
mit is issued and construction commences.

Dear Jan,
I have received dexails and pictures for your proposed renovation of 5175 Back Gore Drive Unit
#A-5 to include the following:
Replace idtchen cabinets,countertop,and range.
Install a gas fireplace which wwill yent to the outside of the unit towards the,�st, Zye ve,nt is
sinall,square,will be in compliance with code, and painted dark brown to match other vents,
chimneys, etc.at Cedar point. It will only be visible from the A-5 side yard and is above eye
—level.
Add a window on the east wall similar to the window on B-1 except place�highe.r. This is a
non-opening window and will provide light and a view to the trcetops, It will be above eye level
for aay passersby.
Replace front door with a new wood door of the same size as a11 other units at Cedar point and
staine�in the patte.�n of our townhomes.
Replace the ground floor front bedroom window with identicai size and appearance as
existing. Window will match other new windows instalied ia the past few years at A-3 and A-5.

renovation.
