Minor Exterior Alteration
General Information: This application is required for all proposals involving minor changes to buildings and site improve-
ments, such as roofing, painting, window additions, landscaping, fences, retaining walls, etc. Applicable Vail Town
Code sections can be found at www.vail bv__.co��� under Vail Information -Town Code Online. All projects requiring de-
sign review must receive approval prior to submitting a building permit application. An application for Design Review
cannot be accepted until atl required information is received by the Community Development Department, as outlined in
the submittal requirements. The project may also need to be reviewed by the Town Council and/or the Planning and
Environmental Commission. Design review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building per-
mit is issued and construction commences.

My name is Barry Watts, owner of duplex 1170B Casolar in Vail. A few
years ago my driveway was severely damaged during road and electrical
repair on our cul-de-sac. The driveway was replaced, but the work was
extremely poor. I replaced the driveway during the summer. I am very
pleased with the workmanship. I was not aware at the time that approval by
the town of Vail was required.
I received a "red tag" and was made aware of my mistake. I sincerely
apologize. I contacted Mr. Martin Haeberle who graciously explained the
process to me. I am sending the requested forms as enclosures. Also, the
required check for $20 is enclosed.
Again, I apologize for not following the requirements set by the town of Vail.
Also, I want to thank Mr. Haeberle for guiding me through the process.
