Changes to Approved Plans
General Information: This application is for all changes to approved plans prior to Certificate of Occupancy. An applica-
tion for Design Review cannot be accepted until all required information is received by the Community development De-
partment. Design Review approval expires one year from the date of approval, unless a building permit is issued and
construction commences.
Submittal Requirements:
The Town of Vail offers two(2) methods for submittal of materials for review of applications. Materia�s can be submitted
either digitally or on paper. Whichever method you select all materials shall be submitted in that format throughout the
Design Review process. The Town encourages you to consider using the submittal of digital documents and plans.
If submitting digitally all elements of the application shall be uploaded to the Town's share file site as a complete set of
materials. If submitting paper three (3) copies of the materials noted with an asterisk (�) and one (1) copy of all others
are required. The materials necessary to have a complete application are as follows:
1. Copies of all pertinent approved plans with illustrated, labeled changes.
2. Joint Property Owner Written Approval Letter, if applicable..

To whom it may concern:
It is the intent of the Vail Mountain School to install a removable retaining fence around our
existing athletic field. The retaining fence will run the entire length of each end of the field and return
on each corner no more than 70'down the side line. We will maintain a 10' distance between the out of
bounds line and the fence wherever possible. The purpose of the fence is to retain soccer and lacrosse
balls from going into the parking lot, onto North Frontage Rd, Booth falls Rd, and into adjacent property
owner's yards. The fence will be installed in a way that it can be removed when it is not needed. The
map clearly shows how much of the field will be surrounded by the retaining fence. The 2" diameter
poles used will extend 10' up from the existing grade and will have a black powder coat finish on them
to be as discrete as possible. The plan that was previously approved (DR6140139) does not allow the
amount of protection that is needed. The proposed plan will protect our neighbors, our parking lot, and
Booth Falls Rd.
