I talked to you lasl week regarding the replacement of a window on
the street side of Lions Mane Condominiums, in unil 501' which I
recently purchased. I wish to remove a window/door unit in what
!!e are using for an oflice. A former owner instal I ed an office
unil that blocks the door to the exterior so it cannot be used.
We wish to remove the door so that ther will be no confusion by
the Fire Department, in case of an emergancy. The door space will
be covered with siding to match the building exterior. This will
match sevetal- other units which have had the door removed. !,le will-
reol-ace the window with a double huno window of the same size as
the exisling windo to be removed.
We also wish to replace the one window on the thi.rd floor facing
I-70, with three windows facing lhe Vail ski mountain. These
three windows will match lhree existing windows that are in unit
201 ol the building. Area atound windows will be malched to the
existing building exterior.
I have attached a letter from the President ol the Condominium
Association approving the change of windows. I have also enclosed

The Board of Directors of Lions Mane Association has approved for Ed Drager to replace existing windows on the
street side of Lions Mane Condominiums in unit 601, located at l116 Sandstone Drive, Vail Co 81657, and toreplace
one window with three windows on the third floor of his unit which faces Vail mountain.
The Board does not feel that these replacements with the new windows will have an detimental effect on the exterior

B. The applicant shall be responsible for paying any publishing fecs rvhich are in exccss of50% ofthe
application fee. If. at thc applicant's request. any mattcr is postponed for hearing, causing the matter

C, Applications deemcd by the Conrmrurity Devclopmcnt Dcpartment to have design. land usc or other' 'issucs which may have a sigrificant impact on the community may requiie review by consultants in
addition to Torvn staff. Should a determination be made by the Town staff that an outside consultant
isneedcd. the Community Devclopment Departmcnt may hire the consultant. The Departmcnt shall
cstinratc thc arnount of money necessary to p'ay the consultant and this amount shall be forw'ardeC to
the Town by the applicant at the time of filing an application. Expenses incurred by the Town in
cxcess of the amount rbrwarded by the application shall bc paid to the Town by thc applicant within
30 days ofnotification bytheTorvn. Any excess funds will bc rehrncd to the applicant upon review
